CRIF Jordan was established as a private share holdingcompany aiming to provide credit information services in Jordan. It rececived a license to launch its activity from the Central Bank of Jordan in 2015 and officially started operating in 2016, through a platform designed and built by the strategic partner CRIF S.P.A., a global company with advanced technological expertise in this field. The activity of CRIF Jordan is subject to the Credit Information by Law No. 15 of 2010 and the Credit Information Companies Law No. 36 of 2011. In addition, the Central Bank of Jordan supervises and monitors the activities and operations of the Company through a specialized department within CBJ.

CRIF Jordan currently provides its services to "Credit Providers" operating in Jordan, in accordance with the definition of the credit information law.
Moreover, CRIF Jordan obtains credit information through the sources permitted in the articles of the Credit Information Law. Among these sources are banks, leasing companies, financial institutions established under a special laws, microfinance companies, and others.
Several banks, financial institutions and telecommunications are benefiting from the services of CRIF Jordan since launching its operations in 2016.
